ChatGPT and the Charting of a New Path
ChatGPT has become my life tool.
Let me explain.
As someone with sprinklings of AuDHD, I’ve found it to be key in charting my new path forward. I’m using it to create daily schedules and help with my career search, but my biggest use for AI right now involves stretching its limits to satiate my curiosity.

For example:
AC: “If careers were categorized by music genre, what careers would lofi reggae music be?”
ChatGPT: Technical Writing (among others)
AC: “Research clubs who play attractive football, advocate for mental health, provide the same community feel as AFC Richmond (shoutout Ted Lasso), embody a selfless culture on and off the pitch, and do not go out collecting players like Labubus”
ChatGPT: Brighton & Hove Albion (I still love you, Arsenal)
AC: List US moving destinations that fit this personality and style: ISTJ, extroverted introvert, future technical writer, strong coffee and soccer culture, cat-friendly, and laid back”
ChatGPT: Portland, OR; Santa Cruz, CA; Boulder, CO; Tucson, AZ; Eugene, OR; St. Pete, FL; Asheville, NC

I often find myself tangled in my own thoughts, and right now, I’d categorize a good 80% of those thoughts as future plans. Enter ChatGPT, and that number lowers significantly.
The rest of those thoughts are more tangled than early 2000s earbuds in a side pocket, but that’s where journaling comes in. That’s another post.
