ChatGPT and the Charting of a New Path
I’m not afraid to admit it: I’m a ChatGPT loyalist. Artificial intelligence has redefined how we do things in this day and age, and I’m on board.
ChatGPT has immensely simplified the reshaping of my career. I enter the loads of seemingly insurmountable questions I had at the beginning of this journey, and out pops a tailored list of job titles and industries. I’m off and running.
AI is not a villain. It’s a helping hand. For me, it continues to satisfy my curiosity in ways my neurodivergent brain can’t.
Here are some of my more recent prompts.
- Why are college football coaches paid so much? I found Stewart Mandel's article in The Athletic very interesting and relevant, given my current job in college sports. “Reckless spending” is an understatement. These buyout numbers are just ridiculous. Does James Franklin really need to be paid $50 million to be fired by financial juggernaut Penn State? I digress.
- Given a variety of values and priorities, along with my career path, rank my most compatible moving destinations with explanations (Portland, Oregon topped the list).
- Explain the cultural differences between rugby and American football.
- What Premier League fanbase aligns with my personality and lifestyle, and why?
As I continue celebrating World Mental Health Day, I reflect on how ChatGPT has helped untangle plenty of crossed wires in my mind.
I don’t have to tread water anymore thinking about my next career move.
What careers fit my thinking structure, my lifestyle, my priorities in life, and why? Where can I find these jobs? What does my favorite Premier League club say about me? How about my favorite beer? What does this say about me as a person, and how can I use these answers in my career change? How can I be a happier version of myself?
AI is the future, and the future is here.
Get in, loser. We’re going revolutionizing.
